CREW & OFFICIALS

All members of the Helensburgh lifeboat crew serve voluntarily. There is a range of age and experience amongst the crew who are all committed to serving the RNLI to save lives at sea. The majority of the crew work in Helensburgh or Rhu and all live within a couple of miles of the lifeboat station. A significant proportion of the crew have a professional seafaring background although we do have crew members who joined without any previous maritime experience (refer to 'Training' for more detail).

In support of the crew and the station are the Station Officials who include the Lifeboat Operations Manager, Deputy Launching Authorities, Chairman, Honorary Medical Advisor, Honorary Treasurer, Lifeboat Press Officer and the Boathouse Manager.
